ENL -English As A New Language

     The Ballston Spa Central School District’s English as a New Language (ENL) program provides instructional support to English Language Learners (ELLs), or students whose primary language is not English, and who demonstrate eligibility for ENL services. The goal of the ENL program is to provide the necessary language and academic support to ELLs in order for them to achieve success in school and beyond graduation. Cross-cultural understanding is another important goal of all ENL instruction. Students develop English skills through specialized instruction by ENL teachers in collaboration with the rest of their educational program, either as a separate class or within the classroom. BSCSD is committed to providing a rich educational experience for all English Language Learners in the district, in collaboration with school communities, families, and all key stakeholders.
