Mural Project
On Wednesday, October 23rd, amazing local artist, Jean Ellen Sotansky, created a beautiful mural with our Malta Ave students, staff, and families. It was an incredible afternoon with our special Malta Ave community! We could not be more grateful to Jean for working with our community to beautiful our outdoor garden space. A huge thank you to our PTA for organizing this event!
National Bullying Prevention Month and Unity Day
October was National Bullying Prevention Month. We spent the month promoting kindness, inclusivity, and respect. Mrs. Rudolph, our incredible librarian, and Ms. Jae, our library aide, taught lessons during library related to upstander behavior. Additionally, all classes read Kindness Grows. Additionally, Mrs. Rudolph and Ms. Jae created a beautiful unity tree with students, which is now outside of our auditorium.
Talent Show
Malta Ave’s got talent! On Tuesday, November 19th, be prepared to be wowed by students’ talents at Malta Ave! Our 2024 talent show will begin at 6:30 on 11/19. Students must sign up for the talent show by November 1st. We are looking forward to a great night!
Halloween at Malta Avenue
On Thursday, October 31st, students enjoyed Halloween festivities at Malta Avenue. Each grade level organized and planned Halloween activities. We also held a Halloween parade for students in grades K-3. Fun was had by all!
Schoolwide Meeting
On Tuesday, October 29th, we held our first schoolwide meeting of the year. Our fifth grade classes did a wonderful job planning and leading our first meeting. During schoolwide meetings, we recognize our character education award winners for the month and introduce our character education word for the next month.

This month, we have two character education word of the month overall winners. Our winners are: Eloise B. and Layla NT. Congratulations Eloise and Layla! Thank you for exemplifying fairness and embodying the Malta Way! Eloise and Layla will be our Malta Man Sidekicks.
Character Education Word Of The Month
Our character education word for November is responsibility- do what you are supposed to do- plan ahead. Do your best - show self-control. Think before you act - be accountable - set a good example.
